The Benefits of THC

There’s a lot of misinformation around marijuana in our culture, and THC (Tetrahydrocannibinol) has without a doubt been given the worst reputation in the anti-cannabis narrative.

That stigma is incredibly unfortunate, because THC has significant medical benefits, and has helped many patients deal with chronic pain, and the adverse impacts of appetite loss.  THC can also be a powerful alternative to prescribed opiates and other addictive drugs when used appropriately under the care of a knowledgeable provider.

THC cannabis strains and products fall into three primary categories: IndicaSativa, and Hybrid. Each have unique benefits that our we take the time to guide our patients through.

Indica

Indica strains and products are known for being physically sedating, and can be tremendously helpful with our patients dealing with insomnia or sleep loss due to chronic pain.  Indica-dominant strains can also help deal with appetite loss due to chronic illness and/or chemotherapy and other intensive treatments.

Sativa

Sativas typically provide more invigorating, uplifting effects, and work well for patients suffering from energy loss due to a chronic illness or painful condition.  Patients who suffer from migraines and other intense headaches have also experienced relief from the Sativa-dominant strains, extracts, and other products we offer.

Hybrids

Hybrids somewhere in between the indica-sativa spectrum, depending on the traits they inherit from their parent strains.  At HRBD, we carefully select the genetics that go into our hybrid strains to provide a highly customized, consistent experience for our patients.

Of course, the best way to figure out what will work best for your medical conditions is to work with one of one of HRBD’s knowledgeable team members. We’ll listen closely to the description of your symptoms and make detailed recommendations for where to get started, and options for treating various symptoms and conditions as they arise.
